Revolutionizing Workspace Design with Parametric Technology and Unique Aesthetics

WIT Design and Research, a team of seasoned designers, has crafted a unique office space for a Fintech company. The design inspiration stemmed from the desire to highlight the new aesthetic of the digital era. The team used parametric software to design a spiral staircase, resulting in a unique pattern that sets the space apart from traditional office environments. The installation also features a "waterfall" and a "pool" made from cast concrete, complete with copper ducklings, providing a unique indoor waterscape suitable for Beijing's long, cold winters.

The Fintech Office is not just a workspace but a "micro-urban life group," extending the physical and psychological office space available to employees. This design approach encourages employees to remain in the office and actively embrace urban life. The office extends to a 6,000 square meter "micro-urban life group" of financial tech companies on the site, including the Dragon Restaurant and a public atrium, considered the city's living room.

The project, which spanned a year from February 2019 to February 2020, was realized using parametric design technologies and cast concrete. The office spans a total of 980 square meters. The design team faced several challenges, including showcasing the beauty of new technology design to distinguish the space from traditional companies' workspaces and creating a comfortable environment for employees who generally work long hours. They also had to contend with the limited net height of the -1 floor.

Despite these challenges, the design team successfully created a unique environment for Fintech employees. The design was recognized for its innovation and excellence and was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
